Quality and authenticity
Learn close to the source.
Julian Mead Shihan studied under Motokatsu Inoue in Japan and founded the RKAGB. This is an opportunity to work with teaching rooted in a living Ryukyu Kobujutsu tradition, with attention to how and why the movement works.
Bo study brings posture, range and body connection into focus. Nunchaku asks for coordination and control. For Karate practitioners, both can open worthwhile questions about the quality of familiar movement.

Your afternoon
One foundation. Two ways forward.
First hour: Bo together
Julian Mead Shihan teaches Bo to the whole group. Begin with a shared foundation and work at a level suited to your experience.
Then: your next challenge
People new to Kobujutsu continue Bo foundations with Mehar Brar, at Julian Mead Shihan’s discretion. Experienced practitioners continue Nunchaku with Julian.

What you gain
Leave with a direction.
Newcomers can work towards a clearer grasp of Bo handling, stance and distance. Experienced practitioners can refine Nunchaku coordination, timing and control. The aim is material you can continue to develop, with a better understanding of what to work on next.
It’s also a chance to enjoy training with new people. Meet other committed martial artists, work with different partners and make connections you can take beyond the afternoon.
